Her Excellency MaryKay L. Carlson, the US Ambassador to the Philippines visited BCPD on May 20, 2023. BCPD is one of USAID's partner institutions in Cebu City. During her visit, the US Ambassador spoke with the USAID first batch graduates - the Macahilo sisters and their mother, young mothers from Badjao Indigenous Peoples community, as well as the current regular students of BCPD.
BCPD has upskilled over 70out-of-school women who have found jobs, started their businesses, or pursued further studies with the support of USAID scholarship program which started in2021. This year, the second batch of 110 USAID-supported trainees is set to begin training in June.
